Can you describe the knock? Does it change with revving the motor or under a load? Try running some premium gas from a different gas station than you filled up last from.

    its at idle.
    im pretty sure its knock.
there is no knock noise while im driving
    its just at iddle.
    and i always run 91octane.
what should i do to get this to stop?
im also installing a coolingmist meth injection
kit soon and i heard that it helps with knock.

You may have too much timing advance if this is truly knock (pre-ignition ping) Can you pinpoint the source of the sound? a 1" diameter wooden dowel about 2-3 feet long can help you isolate the source. You use it like a mechanic's stethoscope by placing it against various metal areas on the block and head then placing your ear directly against the opposite end. You can actually make out an individual valve seating, injector firing, or other components. Pretty slick.

well when im in the driver seat its on my side
is where the noise is at.
i can sit at idle with my music off after ive driven it a bit
and i can here a knock/tap. once i hit past 2k you dont hear it.
but once it idles back again its still there.
it could be timing i dont know. it could be multiple of things.
i thought about taking it in and see whats up.

It could be just as simple as your injectors cycling. Do you know what brand was in your turbo kit?

i was thinking it could be one the injectors as well.
    they are HKS 550cc
that was what the box said

i was checking for exact the engine noise was coming.
and i was feeling around on the top where the fuel rail was
with me standing over the engine
i put my hand on the far right of the rail
as i progressed my hand slowly to the left in different spots,
i felt it push back more like i could feel the tap or something.
when i got to the end of the rail on the left
i could defffinitly feel it push more.
the noise hasnt gotten any louder.
just gets on my nerves cause i dont know what it is!
like i said it is at iddle from under 1k. ill be driving and then ill stop at like a light
i wont here anything for a split seconded then it makes that rattlling noise.

If your A/FR is in check and EGTs are not high, then it make just be the injectors firing (cycling). Now you said the vibration seemed to be coming from the left as in passenger side of the fuel rail? There is a pulsation dampener on the driver's side of the fuel rail next to the TB. This could be oscillating if your rail pressure is dropping but that would be more at WOT than off-idle and cruise.

Do you get this noise at cruise and on tip-in of the throttle? Try cruising at 50MPH in 5th gear and give it about 30-40% more throttle. Now try this at 40MPH and then at 30MPH keeping it in 5th gear. Do you hear alot of rattle? If you were getting knock from a lean out condition, this would manifest itself as a loud rattle. In the old carburetor days, this was a sign that your accelerator pump (tip-in) was improperly adjusted or failing.

It might be time to get her on the dyno and have the tuner check your mappings and A/FR.

i checked after work when i go to the house.
its just making noise on the driver side
    so i dont know.
i can hear it well in the car but when i get to the engine
its hard to find the noise.
ive done what you asked and it doesnt make any knock noises.
i can sit at a light sometimes not hear the rattle for a couple seconds.
then after that it starts again.
it dont rattle while im driving
    just under 1k

but yes. im tired of guessing and actually go get it looked
    at professionally.
im calling a shop here in town to see if i can drop it
off get it fully tuned and stuff.
hopefully it just needs to be retuned.
    gah i hate spending money!

Sanp. It just came to me. Your VSV valve is occilating. http://www.club-tc.com/forums/tc-knowledgebase/1876-tc-mechanical-factoids.html This link will tell you how to inspect it.
    VSV.jpg

This happened to me a while back. You can just cap off the vacuum line going to it, but must leave the electrical connector connected. It does effect the emissions from the fuel tank so reconnect it for inspections. I ended up replacing it with a spare one.
