I previously had a 93 thunderbird with 4.10s so i was getting typically 17mpg needles to say I was hoping for a car with a bit of a punch but with better mileage. After looking at a camry, ford v6 mustang, and a 2004 GTO I went with my 2005 tC. I have owned it for three months and it is stock with oem fx body kit, but no other modification besides audio. I typically get around 23-25mpg for daily driving, I have a lead foot, but on a highway trip I got 383 miles on one tank before I refueled. So I'd say the 23city/30highway estimate I was told is pretty accurate.

Being an owner of a 2006 Scion tC (Azure Pearl) that has currently 22,800 miles on it, I get approx 26 mpg (Town) 31-32 mpg approx (Highway) w/ 89 octane. I tried 87 octane for a few months and my gas mileage dropped, and not to mention my idle fluctuated/not smooth and I didn't feel the power-get up and go. With all this being said, your MPG is going to vary pending on how you drive, as well as how well you maintain your vehicle and maintaining proper tire pressure.

    Here ya go, http://www.club-tc.com/forums/general-discussion/2435-actual-scion-tc-mpg.html.

I get about 25-27MPG (depending on speed) with my boosted up 2005 tC on 93 Octane. My 2007 RS3.0 gets about 30-31MPG on 87 Octane. The tC is not the most fuel efficient on the market, but for all of the extra that it has, it has alot of bang for the buck. The new 2011 tC (Gen2) has more power and better MPG.
